Dear Family

I have lost my best friend at war,
The worst we have ever seen.
We have gained the hill,
but I have had to bury my mates.
I cant fit in my room,
as I stay awake all night.
I need to keep guard and wait for the Turks to attack.
It's been a bad day and backup is destroyed,
We have being asked to leave but instead we dig.
This will be the longest 8 months of my life.
