See the barren dry land,
Cracked from endless days of sun.
It is a long three years now;
Many battles been faced, but not won.
Most of the trees are lifeless now,
And all the dams are dried.
The stock are looking deadly thin,
In hopeless fear, many an eye has cried.
Dark clouds of depression gather,
But none found in the sky.
Folk looking through debts to pay,
Wondering why? How? Why?
But then the great day comes,
A long awaited ‘morrow;
When the rains come pouring down,
Soaking and reviving all the land, spirits and sorrow.
