At The Dawn Of Day

At the dawn of day, the sunshine comes out to play.

The moonlight is in dismay, as it wishes that in the day that it would light up the way.

All the animals come out, as fresh as a freshly picked plum.

The animals run around in joy, none of them are glum.

The people wake up and stretch out their backs.

Some good exercise is what they lack.

For they never bother to run.

Because they think watching TV is more fun.

The kookaburras laugh away.

Because unlike humans, at the dawn of day, the sunshine and the animals came out to play.
