Make Some Noise, they yell. The sound is blurred around me.
It doesn’t feel right. This isn’t where I should be.
Make some noise, they yell, watching us on the floor.
I walk straight, stop, spin, and return once more.
Make some noise, they yell. This feels wrong,
The suits and ties, I’ve known all along.
Make some noise, they yell. I quit; I yell back.
Responding feels good, it is a voice I lack.
I cannot resist, the sight before me,
With colours and feathers, where I truly should be.
Make some noise, they yell, cheering me along.
And for the first time, I am comfortable with a dress on.
Make some noise, they yell, for he is bold,
And on this carpet, forever wins gold.
