Welcome to the battlefield
Where the blooming poppies grow
The graves of so many buried below
Bullets and gun barrels scatter the land
The war which the brave-hearted witnessed first hand
Many lives lost, families broken
Where flashbacks and memories are once again awoken
Many tales passed through each generation
On the 11th of November, we show our appreciation
The darkest days are over, and we can look towards the light
For those soldiers gave their lives so we could end this fight
So to those mighty warriors, we owe them it all
Let us remember their devastating downfall of the wilful soldiers of the first world war
