Your Angel

The picture perfect scene is filled with violence,
Waves drown, seas swallow,
One step, too close, you can hear it in the silence,
The screams you cannot see will haunt you tomorrow.
Streaming tears reflect the bright lights,
Sirens and you can hear echo in your ear,
Your slowly sinking wondering how you will sleep tonight,
Heaven gained another angel this year.
Memories are howling in the sea breeze,
Mayhem and chaos carry through the air,
Feet in the sand do not give you ease,
The silent screams of the wind lift up your hair.
Days are tough and seas are rough,
Trembling arms should be holding your angel,
A phone call or excuses aren’t enough,
It’s your fault you lost your angel
