He swept upon the salt seashore,
And wept for once and forevermore,
Though once feared the sea and its thousand stares,
Now stepping into the waves, Au Contraire,
The waves a thousand slashing knives,
The air a thousand times benign,
As he ventured deep into these depths,
He breathed his fleeting final breath,
"Perhaps I was treated unfair,"
Yet the salt sea did not care,
For once, at last, he was pulled under,
And kissed his last breath asunder.
