The world stood still yet so much noise,
the uncertainty of tomorrow brought me no joys.
Trapped inside with nowhere to go.
Pandemic! They said, Yesterday seemed so long ago.
Everything seems silent and there is peace,
but I miss the hustle and bustle of the streets.
I miss the crowded markets and traffic on the way to school,
I miss going for a swim and having a dip in the pool.
Wonder takes a hold of me and worry fills my heart.
Where will the homeless take refuge? How long will we have to stay apart?
When will I feel my nannas warm hug?
Will we ever see the end of this bug?
Feeling blessed that I am loved and warm,
I am eagerly await the rainbow after this vicious storm.
All l am left with now is hope and prayer,
for l hope that tomorrow brings a healthier and brighter day.
