How can war be so brutal?
When war is simply humanity contained
If it were not so, I would call humanity not so,
But we are not humility and mortality ordained.
So I call to you, to climb from society
And become one with us above;
the condemned to be trapped with war below
And watching the deaths of our own beloved.
Wish and pray the destruction fall then flatten
Whereunto we can greet one another with, “hello”
And weep a little when we all can call each other a brother.
