“Labels,”
The Teacher said,
Labels go on everything.
Labels are critical punches,
They may or may not offend people.
Labels are brightly colored words,
With no regard to how other people see them.
Labels by themselves are sweet little exaggerations,
Lying hopelessly in the minds of people.
What if someone opens their mouth?
And started to say what they believe?
And says what everyone disagrees with?
Society turns on them
Their opinions and themself, worthless.
Indifference is a crime they say,
I’d die for a society that feels different.
