Goodbye

Christmas cake, rhubarb pies and apple crumble just to name a few,
This is what my Nan made when I was only two,
Butterflies swarmed in the garden whenever she was there,
It looked like she was majestic, living life with no care,
Luscious blonde hair, full of life,
My grandpa was lucky to have such a caring wife,
As time continued on, the butterflies stopped coming,
Something felt different, but life went on,
I could see the despair in my pops eyes,
All he could do was put on a smile, and tell lies,
The news struck our lives and pierced our hearts,
My whole life felt like it was falling into parts.
My love for her deepens every day,
But she’s not coming back whatever I say,
I don't know how I’m going to get through this or if I can,
I love you, and miss you Nan.
