Even when giving rain becomes unforgiving,
Even when tamed fires become unstoppable,
Even when soothing winds become unrelenting,
Like the unbowed mountains, I shall stand tall.
I have explored further than my eyes can see,
I have seen the light within my own darkness.
I have found within my inner storm a sanctuary.
With the curses I bear, I have been blessed.
As long as I know the friend within myself,
As long as I still have breath,
As long as I remember what I have felt,
I will march forward, awaiting the challenge that comes next.
Even when that blade was held towards my heart,
I have made them into the chains that tie me to this Earth.
As long as I understand what are my parts,
I know who and what I am — I know my worth.
