A Helping Hand

I remember staring into your eyes,
The hope, loss, and forgiveness spiralled,
The way the colours varied, throughout the dying skies,
The way they made you cry,
The fires that licked the earth,
That made the cattle die,
When you thought it couldn’t get any worse,
A pandemic swept the world,
Making you live the life you don’t deserve,
Streets became deserted,
Your money became lost,
And you felt like the world was crashing down,
Until a woman named,
Celeste Barber raised $51 million she made your life feel less abandoned,
She was the one who made you and your civilians less sore,
Who made you feel at peace once more
