A fires flame flickers and dances until the candles wax has waned
The moon yerns for darkness' trance then slowly shines again
and all the while, while seasons change
through winters frost and summers heat
continues on steady and strong
the march of times beat.
city's hustle in streets bustle our lives flow on in the stream
and some will wonder and many have lost life's gift to dream
ticking and stocking
check out and clock in
the march of time goes on
of shifting sands and distant lands, life and rest to come
kingdoms are conquered and nations divided, as tribes come together as one.
For time slows down for the simple and meek
and simply waltzes on.
