Deep
A ship, a vessel of the sea
Strong and solid were we
Until the rock, hidden beneath the surface
Filled with dreadful shattering purpose
Bubbles blown beneath the waves
Our shredded stories hidden away
Stolen away to cavern so deep
Some will mourn us in their sleep
Drawn beneath the foam topped swell
Lost in this watery hell
Lifeboats search and seagulls dive
But never to be seen are we
Drawn down deep into our care
We long for skies and open air
The sea has claimed our bodies
But our spirits live on
The sea claims all.
