Memories Of You

I come and visit you everyday
While you're sleeping in your grave.
I write about you in my book,
But there are no pages left to create
For the number of times I’ve cried
Have left them wet and blurred, like my fragile heart.
You can't be replaced
Nor can the memories I hold in these tethered pages.

As I get older, I realize I must not stop living the life I was made for
Not to forget the way I used to love you and you loved me.
The boundaries have been set
For a life I now seek to live
To create new memories and adventures.
With the gentle whispers of your soul,
I will refill this heart with solid gold,
And live my life as if you were here beside me.
