Life, the cycle,
A cycle that continuously flows through the good and not so good.
The picture of a flowered strawberry bush with green berries covering every leaf,
This strawberry bush is bound to blossom once again in a matter of time.
Once it blossoms you’re free to feast from its fruits,
If it isn't harvested and hardly been enjoyed thoroughly,
Then it may rot to the point of disease.
Piecing together the puzzle,
Seeing how one may realise that nothing is perfection,
Realising that emotions demand to be felt.
It was the captain to the sails on the ship of my joy,
I feel as though I’ve capsized and left all that behind,
The captain turned the dial to sorrow,
As I fall past what kept me positive,
I watch as every part of me breaks into smaller pieces over and over again.
But just as a mirror breaks into more and more smaller mirrors,
We still have the chance to start again,
Because just as nothing stays golden,
Nothing stays sturdy when made of dirt,
Changing and shifting between gold and dirt; is how we live.
