My dear friends
As our childhood ends
And our spark is quenched
I ask you through this pen:
Please, let us be bold
May we shine like gold,
And never listen when we're told
That we must fit in the mould.
Let us be joyous, alive and anew
Choosing to be the very few
To stand out stick it through
And be bright colours of every hue
So that when we grow old
We'll have someone to hold
And that others may be told
To always be bold.
