A Cat With A Hat

I saw my cat with a hat.
In fact I don't know where
A cat got a hat from.
The cat might have gotten it
From the messy mat or
Matt the milkman.
The cat looked as silly as a clown.
My cat always sat on the mat
But when the hat
taller than a giraffe's neck came
my cat stopped
sitting on the mat.
So one day I was at war with my cat.
There was a lot of combat
But I finally got that tall hat
out of my way.
