Silence at night
Wishing there was light
Nothing makes sound
When no one is around.
Difficult to sleep
Not even a peep
Tossing and turning
To a toy I cling.
Winds howling near
Windows rattling I hear
Wishing it was morning
I felt like I was crying.
Shaken by a scary monster
With its sound so bitter
It was only the beep
Telling me to wake up from sleep
