Never believe a mirror
For a mirror always pretends
For a mirror makes it seem that all your worth
Can only be seen on from the outside.
Never believe a mirror
For it only shows your skin
It doesn’t count the tears you’ve cried
Nor your greatest smile within.
Never believe a mirror
For a mirror can only show you skin deep
A mirror doesn’t capture the times your eyes light up and sneak a smile
When you do something you love the most.
Never believe a mirror
For a reflection cannot tell you, what you mean to me
A mirror only shows what’s on the outside
But never what’s within
