The darkness eats away the bright blue sky
I watch as the smoke emerges from the horizon
Fire trucks everywhere as they try to stop the flames
I feel my heart racing
Fire sirens screeching
I pack my bags, ready to flee
Flames surround the valley, dancing in the distance
I hear the people screaming
Ash-filled air makes breathing hard
I run towards safety
Homes crackle, burn and explode
I almost feel like crying
Every home destroyed, demolished
I turn around, nothing but ash
Mother, father, sister, brother
I am glad to be alive
