A Heartbroken Earth

When the world sleeps, the Earth goes by;
Seething and trying, to give the world a sign.
They ignore it, time and again, this makes the Earth cry;
How often it happens, how the world is so borderline.
Earth spins round again and again;
Repeating a cycle that doesn’t seem to end.
Humans that never learn to be patient even then;
Too protective over what they have and what to spend.
Maybe if they ever tried to wait and understand;
It would be enough to finally make them see and take a glance;
At what they’ve done and make them take a stand.
But this might still happen, just give them a chance;
And as the world sleeps, the Earth starts to heal;
But some people won’t listen, until it starts to get real.
