Amongst the hard baked ground
Amongst a barren land
Amongst the dusty plains
A sapling grows unyielding.

Through the day and night it refuses to give in
To the wind and the sun.
Strong. Firm. Planted.

As the sapling grows tall and strong
A lonely girl stumbles upon its roots.
And as she makes a bond with the tree
A spark of hope kindles a flickering flame in her heart.

It grows into a fierce fire, burning deep down.
A strong bond is beginning.
