The flowers bloomed in the mid summer sun,
The grass sprouted into tall stalks,
The birds sung in defeat nay triumph,
The earth was as beautiful as ever,
contrary to the people,
Destruction debris concealed the ground,
The people who once proudly marched,
wandered impassively as robots,
The food which once filled the emptiness,
failed to comfort,
The love that once prospered,
ceased to nothing,
Time is still,
a change from the usual deadline,
The war was over,
but it felt like it just begun.
