Ode To John Keats

So may these pages hold myself inside
The leathered skin of words' identity,
While my heart longs to be the willing bride
Of nothingness and deep existence free;

And whether my soul should rest within stars,
Or my name disappear into the sea,
These leafèd pages be my avatars
To have- to hold- for all eternity.

So feel my presence in amongst these words
And hear my name whispered upon the wind;
Free, Soaring with the mighty Thunderbirds
Until their wings and mine are ever twinned.

Fear not! While death embraces my cold lips
These words no barrier will e'er eclipse
