Teddy Bear
I look at you,
You stare back.
I talk to you,
But all you do is smile.
Your expression never changes,
Peaceful and contented.
Your eyes,
Hollow but full.
Your wearing fur,
From pink to brown.
Your beautiful ribbon,
Faded and dull.
But still I love you,
You could never be replaced,
Your understanding,
Your love,
Your comfort.
You care not what people think,
Unimpressionable,
Reasonable,
Faithful.
You will always be there for me,
Always be my friend,
Even when all else fades away.
For a person,
This would be unmeaning flattery,
But for you,
This is just a tribute,
To the one,
The only,
Teddy Bear.
