Ode To A Book

When I am lost in great adventure scene,
Away I wander from the world to read
A book where I’m compelled to watch so keen
A great imaginary world succeed.
Where tales are real as bluish seas and skies,
When watching all the gripping tales unfold,
Where all the chapters leave a grand surprise,
Yet they’re just woven words and greatly told.
But some say it’s a waste of precious time
Which could be spent on brains and chores instead.
Who cares about fake mysteries and crime
When all it does is shove lies in your head?
But books are what I love eternally
And nothing breaks the bond ‘tween books and me.
