I Am Wrong

I look in the mirror, and I can’t stand what I see.
How could any girl ever love me?
My chest is not flat, instead, it is round.
Just the sight of myself makes me crumple to the ground.
I could make up a thousand stories, but it could never be true.
The body I was given could never be of use.
I wish I were a boy, tall and strong.
Instead, I am a girl, who came out wrong.
No one could accept me or call me “he”.
All that they use is “she”, “she”, “she”.
But then I find her, the girl who will hold me tight.
The girl, who for me, will always fight.
She calls me my name, it’s my chosen one too.
She makes me feel valid, unlike you.
We were both born “wrong”, but we’re happy nonetheless.
Our life together is picturesque.
