Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition

I am a poppy in a field of daffodils,
My heart, filled with wishes and wills,
Unsure of my fate, it is yet to be crowned.
A torturer is growing, a secret inside,
I thought I was normal, with nothing to hide,
Imprisoned by the gaoler, chains tightly bound.
Books are the birds, the skies and the trees,
They have built mountains, rivers and streams,
These treasures are buried deep underground.
There is but one thing of which I am sure.
