Take me as I am,
So fragile and weak, barely alive.
And turn me into something more,
More than this.
I know my strength is buried deep inside the depths of my mind
Crawling its way out from the prison I made
To prevent the pain that inevitably came.
The pain I succumb to after little struggle.
Oh how I wish I had struggled more.
More than this.
You open your palms and lift me from my sorrows,
Letting my tears form the roots of my strength.
This embrace from the sun is foreign and intriguing,
The light shining through me reflects on funhouse mirrors
The distortion focuses my brain
And allows me to be reborn.
