Walking In Nature

I went for a walk outside today
To try and push my sadness away
Plants and trees, flowers too
The flowers with smiles, had just bloomed
The trees were looking down at me
Do they see my sadness or my glee?
Next I saw a butterfly
Beautiful blue and full of life
I keep on going further and further
A heavy weight lifting off my shoulder
Plants on every side of me
Reminding me of what I can be.
Who would’ve known that one simple flower
Could fill you up with love and power?
Who would’ve thought that nature’s way
Could make your sadness go away?
