Endless array of darkness brewing
The mellow, clear cut of the moon’s scythe.
Sequins of stars wheeling, renewing,
Glistening with barely contained strife.
Moonlight streaming over heavenly bodies;
Dancing delicately, fingers grazing
Constellations which beam back gracefully.
A mirror reflecting the soft silk billowing
Of a shattered world, our reality.
Thou art a starlit pool, jewels free
Adorned velvet swathes of moonlight, a key
To falling diamonds, paradise unlocked, swirling sea.
The giants loom, filling the sky with their vast
Rings, blinding the stars threatening to swallow
Ominous silence framing lightning at last
Devouring the quiet, thundering hollow.
