Rain

RAIN

As the rain trickles down
I look at it in my evening gown.
Little droplets race as they slide down the window.
I feel my spine shiver as thunder crashes.
I wish I was outside
Sliding down the slippery slide.
The rain gets harder by the minute.
Suddenly I feel myself get really scared.
The power goes out.
I run to find Mum
Who was sitting by the fire,
Looking kind of glum.
As I see her, she sees me
She opens her arms up and I run in for a hug.
Mum gives me a nice warm mug,
Near the fire is as snug as a bug.
