A Concrete Playground

I open my eyes, and long for a world I once new.
I open my ears, and listen to a world gone silent.
I step out, into a world fallen compliant
To us, our ideals, our wants and needs.
I step out into a world turned grey.
I remember the parks I used to play
The screams of laughter
That would make our day
I would jump up ------ I would fall down
But when I fell
I would just roll around
But now I fall and graze
For I have fallen in a concrete playground.
