Land of fires and floods,
Land of poppies and bottle brushes,
Our mother country,
Radiant under the Southern Cross.
The sun dares to draw so near,
The flowers dare to bloom in winter,
The stars sing to us at night,
While we fall asleep.
A serenade in the bush,
The animals start a choir,
The birds soar in the sky,
higher and higher.
The trees dance with joy,
The flowers bloom with pride,
They dare not bow in a storm,
But wake up tomorrow with burns.
