Lake Tyrrell, Wergaia for sky,
Reflects its name and all that's gone by.
A humble pond with a face made of salt,
Shielded by water which puts your boots to a halt.
Now near a town, quiet and peaced,
Who once had few visitors, to say the least.
It's filled by the tears of Bunjil's despair,
When white men came and stirred up the air.
The minivan groans its engine awake,
And whisks us off to see the lake.
We step out and see a vast grey terrain,
Covered in salt, devoid of rain.
Pull out your phone, the moon's gonna rise,
Let's take a photo of us in the skies.
'Cause Lake Tyrrell, Wergaia for sky,
Is reflecting the moon and our lives as we fly.
