Sally The Seagull

Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition

Sally the seagull,
Sat silently,
On the seashore,
Staring at the scared sea creatures.
Sally started spreading sunscreen,
Along her small, superb seagull feathers.
So she stops getting sunburnt!
Slip, slop, slap it on.
Strolling through the scratchy, salty sand,
Sally saw shiny, shimmery shells.
And silly starving seagulls staring at kids,
Sloppily slurping slushies.
Sally sat steadily,
Staring soundly at the sunset,
Slowly, slowly disappearing.
Such serenity by the seashore!
