They say our love is not natural
'It is wrong' they scream and shout and cry
But nothing has ever felt so natural
As being by your side

The frightened bird alight in my breast
Whenever you draw near
To look into your eyes
Is to jump off a cliff so sheer

The red desert that burns in my cheeks
The earthquake in my hands
The hurricane in my gut
The whirlpool in my brain

They say our love is not natural
So we scream and shout and cry
That nothing has ever felt more natural
Than being side by side
