Excellence Award in the 'National Treasures 2022' competition
I opened my unique sapphire eyes,
As the drifting wind came mellow and there were no clouds in the sky.
There it was and almost so weird,
A lovely valley of periwinkle anemones had just appeared.
The emptiness inside me left,
It felt as if my heart was no longer cleft.
I sensed my inner happiness that set away from me years ago,
And finally I found my exuberance in the elegant glow!
Then I saw a young girl in the distance
She was piling rocks up with no assistance
I walked up to help her stack the rocks
Then I reached to put the last rock on top, but they fell on her like socks.
I swiftly stood up and darted,
It was like I was back in the upsetting position where I started.
I plopped back remorsefully onto the soaked floor.
Back in the place I should've been beforeā¦
