I fear mirrors.
I know that I shouldn’t,
I said that I wouldn’t,
But I fear their delicate art.
A single crack is all it takes,
Distorted glass, a monster it makes,
Uncovering a broken facade.
Its eyes a delicate sapphire,
It’s gleaming smirk full of ire.
The intricate shards, the secrets contained.
I wish to run, I wish to hide,
Flee from the horrid creature inside.
A blink she changes, so small, so scared,
Yearning blue stones that I see,
I do not wish to see me.
I fear mirrors.
