I Look Around

I look around the country and I see the rising sun,
An ant in the sand, a red rock weighing a ton.
I look around the country and I see a sand pile,
A dead tree standing strong, a lake like the river Nile.
I look around the country and I see a lone standing bird,
The remains of a small town, it’s story unheard.
I look around the country and I see a flourishing forest,
A pack of dingo's, their howls chorused.
I look around the country and I see a bustling town,
Cars stuck in traffic, trees being cut down.
I look around the country and I see a school full of kids,
Children in their classes, the footpath full of bike skids.
I look around the country and I see a factory tall,
Puffing black smoke in the air, the houses beside it small.
I look around the country and I see what it could be,
A beautiful landscape better than now, I can guarantee.
