Your head is a jail, you need to break free
You’ve experienced trauma and too much grief
You’re drowning in the sound of the bombs everywhere
Breathing in the ashes of despair
Their bodies have been crushed,
But you are still whole
They may be gone but they still have hope for you
As they lie there, blocking the road
They now pray from above, for your future,
Theirs is gone, but yours will continue
This time will pass,
Your lungs won’t always hurt,
You won’t always be trapped or
Wrapped in a blanket of misery
You will be free, you just need to believe
If you swim a bit more, you will eventually breath
