I see everybody laughing, but I don’t know what’s so funny.
Confused at what their saying, “You take everything so literally”
The facial expressions and hand gestures
Seem to be so contradictory. why can’t I just understand,
Make eye contact, on demand.
I wish I could say the right things, and say them at the right time.
They ask why I flap my arms, and spin around in circles.
Why I seem so picky, emotionless and peculiar.
But I feel things just as you do, showing it, is what is hard.
I may not quite fit in, or be the stereotypical normal.
Sometimes it’s hard to focus, sometimes it’s hard to talk.
You may not understand, It’s okay to be confused.
But I am also human,
And deserve the same respect as you.
