Mean Cane Toads
I can see toxic invaders day and night
destroying earth with all their might.
I can see disgusting warty toads,
killing animals on the roads.
I can hear blackbirds swooping down,
grabbing toads from the ground.
I can hear toads croaking all through the night,
trying to wake us up with a big fight.
I can feel sludgy beasts crawling on me as I sleep,
spreading white poison as they leap.
I feel uninvited killers being bad,
And this makes me sad.
I can smell the horrid cane toad poop in my drawers,
And there living in my floors.
I can smell poison over all my stuff,
And now it’s making my emotions gruff.
