On Thus Hill, In This Place

Excellence Award in the 'Unleashed 2022' competition

I feel something I have never felt before,
In a place where birds will soar
Through a northern breeze, a familiar path,
I love to dwell, on the present,
No longer am I held back by the past

A thousand flowers, ready to bloom, a new journey ahead,
My feelings die, as do I, I find it hard to comprehend,
In a place where living creations have roamed and died,
My time on earth has come to an end

A thousand words won't make me stay,
Nature comes to an end, and here I am on this day
On thus hill, a thousand flowers, but I am here, not to bloom
A thousand tears shed will never heal the wounds

I hope we meet once again, in a place I can crawl up and cry,
In a place I hope to live and die
