Although we aren’t together now
We hopefully will be in reach somehow
Photos, videos and memories I’ll cherish,
And I promise you will never perish.
I hope your in a better place,
But I wish we could still sit face to face.
Even though we are a big distance apart,
You have left a permanent indent in my heart.
I wish I could close my eyes and you will appear,
So together we can share a few more years.
After all the tears that have left my eyes,
I still couldn’t believe this really meant goodbye.
I don’t know how I will go another day,
With you in a world so very far away.
Since we won’t see each other anytime soon,
Just know I will be thinking of you morning and afternoon.
You will forever remain in my heart
To my dearest and truest dogs, Maddie and Fergus.
