Head swaying side to side,
Picking up the scent of prey,
Upon the red hot sand,
This ectotherm will lay.
A dinosaur like creature,
With an unbelievable feature.
With the Red centre as its habitat,
Devouring mice and desert rats.
Eagle eyesight, massive muscle,
Catching prey is not a hustle.
Super speed, blinding fast,
In a race it won’t be last.
A sleeping beauty that’s for sure,
Perentie monitors we all adore.
