in the beginning, there was nothing but quiet.
in the end, there was everything but peace.
no peace, no quiet
forever homebound, always homesick.
a place where home is just structure; just material, nothing more.
the deafening sound of silence swallows me whole,
and my hands lose grip of everything i had.
when i close my eyes, the truth melts away, reality slips far from my touch.
the truth melts away, the golden walls rebuild
in a world so strange, filled with tangled truth.
i spin pretty hopes out of the tainted spells,
so maybe, just maybe
the world will stretch beyond the mind,
and onwards, towards a world
where family becomes more than blood.
where family expands beyond the four walls of your home
and out onto the streets, racing through the skies
all the way to a place where love is needed,
all the way to a place where the world is a little more scuffed, a little more hurt
and above all, a place that’s looking for hope.
