Everyone has a memory they hold close
Whether it’s sad or happy
Long ago or yesterday
Everyone has something special in their mind

I have a sad one
That happened long ago
It was the war times
With Germany wanting to take over

I have a happy one
That happened yesterday
It was celebratory moods
As my birthday had come ‘round

Memories are special
And should always be held close
Whether they are sad or happy
Long ago or yesterday.
